Courtgain gets its name from the modest income of its inhabitants.
The fishermen painted their boats with bright colors so that their wives could recognize them from the Calvaire des Marins, located at the top of the hill overlooking the port entrance. The excess paint was used to beautify the houses, dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

The ground floor consists of the living room, the kitchen, and an outdoor courtyard.
The living room is comfortable and nicely decorated. It is equipped with a three-seater sofa and an armchair, as well as a large flat-screen TV.
The kitchen, with a contemporary style, is perfectly equipped with a refrigerator, a cooktop, an oven, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Linens are provided.
In the courtyard, outdoor furniture and a barbecue are at your disposal.
On the 1st floor, you have a 12m² bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, and a landing.
On the 2nd floor, you can enjoy a very large through bedroom, equipped on request with either a double bed or two twin beds and a sofa bed.

You can unload your luggage in front of the house before parking your vehicle.
Parking in Saint-Valery is not always easy, especially in high season. It is paid everywhere and all year round.
We recommend parking your car at the college parking lot, located on Rue des Corderies.
To return to the house, go down the stairs located just behind the parking meter, and turn right onto Rue des Moulins. Another option is to park on Place des Pilotes. However, make sure to move your car on Saturday evening in preparation for the weekly market held there on Sunday morning.
The most advantageous option is to take a weekly parking ticket, even if you are only staying for two days.
